Education & Training
Dr. Freedman attended Temple University and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Temple University School of Dentistry and opened his dental practice in Abington in 1980.
Community Involvement
Dr. Freedman is active in numerous professional organizations and is a leader in providing resident education. He has been on staff at Abington Memorial Hospital as a member of the Dental Division since 1989, where he is heavily involved in resident education and serves on various committees. Dr. Freedman has served as President of the Executive Board of the local branch of the American Dental Association (Montgomery Bucks Dental Society). On a regional level, he serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Associations Valley Forge Dental Society most recently as Immediate Past President, Access to Care and Membership committees.
Dr. Freedman has partnered with Abington Township’s Police Athletic League to provide no-cost dental exams, x-rays, and prevention services to his community’s at-risk children. He also created the “Give Vets a Smile” program that gives veterans free dental care who are not eligible through the VA. And Dr. Freedman has served on the national level as a member and Chair of the American Dental Association’s Council on Membership as well as a delegate to the ADA’s House of Delegates.

Dr. Freedman is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists (only 3% of dentists are elected), Fellow in the International College of Dentists, and a Fellow at The Pierre Fauchard Academy. The nominations and selections for these Dental Honor Societies are all based on a commitment to ethics, service and education. Philadelphia Magazine has also recognized Dr. Freedman as a top dentist in 2021 and 2022.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Freedman lives in Dresher with his wife Susan of nearly 35 years. He enjoys history, reading, cooking, flower gardening, and travel.
